Group Exercise Class Options:
"THE ORIGINAL" RU FIT CLASSES INCLUDE:
Body Sculpting:
A weight training class using free weights, tubing and medicine balls to develop muscle tone, improve strength and endurance, replace fat with muscle and just plain feel better.
Dance Aerobics:
A choreographed aerobic workout using easy to follow moves. Motivate your body into shape while listening to great music and having lots of fun.
HI/LO Aerobics:
A cardiovascular workout using both high and low impact moves designed to get you moving.
Step Workout:
A high intensity, low impact aerobic workout that involves creative moves using an adjustable step. Step circuit alternates step workout with weights. A great way to burn fat and have fun doing it.
Tone-Up:
Exercises using weights, tubing, etc. that concentrate on toning and strengthening the abdominals, gluteals, inner and outer thighs, arms, back and shoulder muscles.
New RU FIT GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES:
Parent/Child Exercise:
Each week mother/daughter or grandmother/granddaughter will have fun trying different forms of exercise such as yoga, pilates, zumba, kick boxing and more. A wonderful way to have fun together.
RU Fit Boot Camp 101:
A total body workout designed to motivate you into shape. A variety of exercise formats will be used. Be prepared to move and sweat.
ZUMBA:
Get ready to move and have fun with a high energy Latin international-themed exercise routine with easy to follow steps that will tone your body and mind.
Yoga and Pilates Class Descriptions:
Beginning Yoga:
An introduction to Yoga designed for beginners. Learn basic poses, breathing and relaxation.
Yoga Level 1:
This class will concentrate on basic postures, breathing techniques and relaxation skills. It helps promote balance, flexibility, strength and stress release. Great for beginners as well as continuing yoga students.
Yoga Level 1-2:
Prior yoga experience recommended. This class will build on the skills learned in a level 1 class.
Yoga/Meditation:
A half hour of Yoga and a half hour of guided meditation. No experience needed.
Yoga Nidra:
A yogic sleep in which you journey through stillness and mindfulness in order to gain a greater sense of clarity. Bring a mat, pillow and blanket to class.
Gentle Yoga:
For adults
of any age including seniors and those with minor physical ailments. Gentle poses, breathing and relaxation skills are taught.
Yoga for Baby & Me:
A yoga class designed for babies, ages 1-6 months, and their moms, dads or caregivers. Enjoy the many benefits of yoga, flexibility, strength, stress release, while still enjoying precious time with your baby.
Yoga for Kids:
This fun yoga class encourages kids to engage their bodies and minds to build strength, flexibility, balance and mental focus.
Prenatal Yoga:
A yoga class for moms-to-be to help them have a more healthy and stress free pregnancy. A doctor's referral is required before participating in the class.
Pilates Mat:
Designed to motivate all fitness levels from beginners to those with more experience. This class will instruct you on the principles and exercises developed by Joseph Pilates. Pilates works to strengthen and lengthen primarily the muscles of the core and lower body as well as the upper body. Increases overall flexibility.
